This Two-Day, In-Person Seminar is Presented by The Caring Congregation Leader Rev. Karen Lampe and is Hosted by The North District of the Central Texas Conference UMC

Energize your church and care ministry for 2024 and beyond by attending the two-day North District Caring Congregation Seminar (Friday, October 25, Noon - 5:30 p.m. / Saturday, October 26, 9 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.) at Granbury FUMC, 301 S Loop 567, Granbury, Texas, 76048. Registration includes two days of training with more than 10 hours of interactive and dynamic content - which counts toward pastoral continuing education - culminating in a closing worship service and commissioning. This seminar is intended to establish and equip pastors, staff and care teams (laity) serving churches of any size to cultivate and maximize a culture of care healing for their communities, congregations, clergy and laity team members.
Topics to be covered include:
theology of care / boundaries / listening and spiritual guidance / elder care / visitation / care for the sick and dying / organizing your teams (recruiting, roles, and documentation) / healing after disaffiliation / crisis care / evaluation / building the vision for a culture of care.
Each registered participant will receive free:
- The Caring Congregation: Care Minister's Manual - This companion book to the Implementation Guide is a personal training workbook and reference guide for CCMs and includes pages for note taking during training.

- The Caring Congregation: Implementation Guide - Karen Lampe & Melissa Collier Gepford 's book containing the details on how to set up a care ministry in your church plus the foundational training for your team. This book contains all the details for the church staff to establish and train your Care Ministers.

The Care Ministry Seminar is sponsored by North District of Central Texas Conference, and is open to all Central Texas Conference churches, clergy, and laity.
Pricing
The cost for the event is $50.00 per church.
Info on how to submit payment is available in the
registration. Registration is a 2 step/registration. After completing the church registration, complete the
participant registration for your group. Please note that
