Clergy Day Apart 2022

Bishop Saenz and the Central Texas Conference Cabinet eagerly invites all the United Methodist clergy of the Conference to the 2022 Clergy Day Apart from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 20 at Central UMC in Waco. Please click here or go to ctcumc.org/clergyday-2022-registration to RSVP for this time of fellowship, worship, food, fun and prayerful renewal.

The theme of this year’s Clergy Day Apart is Stepping Out, Stepping Up, Stepping Forward – things that so many in our conference and connection are eager to get back to doing following the difficult and draining seasons of pandemic, shutdown, relaunch and disaffiliation. Bishop Saenz will be there to lead us in worship and some discussion, there will be a time to reflect with each other on the impact of disaffiliation among our ethnically diverse populations, some fun surprises and more.

As clergy, you have endeavored to keep our congregations focused on our mission and connected to each other and the church at large. But we can’t lose sight of our need to stay connected with and to each other – to learn from, support, share, laugh and cry with our colleagues and friends. Please make plans to join your clergy sisters and brothers as we STEP OUT out of our grief and focus on disaffiliation, STEP UP in reclaiming our missional purpose, reestablishing trust and reimagining discipleship and STEP FORWARD in advancing the Kingdom of God together. We look forward to seeing you there!
