Meeting to be held via Zoom beginning at 7 p.m. Register Here
Last month (Sept. 22), the conference announced
AACtion! Strengthening Our African American Witness – a one-million-dollar initiative imagined by the Central Texas Conference Cabinet. The aim of
AACtion! is to grow and strengthen our African American Churches’ witness and fruitfulness in making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. As a follow up to the information and resources about
AACtion! already available on the conference website (
ctcumc.org/aaction) – including an AACtion! Plan overview, FAQs, an introductory video, application forms and promotional materials – there will be an online townhall meeting via Zoom at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 21 to give church leaders the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about
AACtion!
A very
brief registration is required to access the meeting. Please
click here to register. Once the registration is complete and submitted, registrants will receive a link to the meeting.
For generations,
African
American
Churches have provided an important witness in the work of disciple-making in the Central Texas Conference. The continued and increased accomplishment of our God-given mission to make disciples requires that the Conference’s
African
American
Churches grow stronger, more vibrant and more relevant than ever. Please share this opportunity with the leadership of your church and get them to
register so they can join the AACtion! Town Hall meeting on Oct. 21 to share and discuss this important initiative.
If you haven’t already visited the AACtion! section of the conference website, you are encouraged to do so before for the Oct. 21 Town Hall.
