WIG Scorecards Show 18th Straight Month of Growth!

The pattern of growth in the local churches of the Central Texas Conference continued in July 2019. For those keeping score at home, that's the 18th consecutive month of reported growth in the CTC! Overall, average worship attendance grew 2 percent; however, churches with a New Faith Community that began with the help of a New Faith Community Grant grew at a 3 percent clip!

Highlights

Worship Attendance

  • Overall growth for the 12 months ending July was 2% - a .7% increase from June's growth totals. 
  • Growth in churches receiving New Faith Community Grants continues to exponentially exceed the Conference average, this month showing a 3% growth rate.  New things attract new people!
  • The North District takes the gold this month for growth among the five geographic districts with 4% growth. New Church Start District churches grew at 3%.
  • The number of churches growing continues to rise with 133 CTC local churches reporting growth for the 12 months ending in July That's 47% of our churches. We are very close to having 50% of local churches in a growth pattern!

Professions of Faith

  • We are at 63% of our 2019 goal.
  • Central District led the way in June with 39% growth over its 2018 July totals.
  • North District continues to lead the pack for overall 2019 numbers at 75% of its 2019 goal
