The Mary & Elizabeth Coalition

March 29, 2022

As the 2022 Women’s History Month rolls to a close, the Central Texas Conference would like to highlight one of its most vital organizations - the Mary and Elizabeth Coalition. The Mary and Elizabeth Coalition is a network of female clergy in the Central Texas Conference of The United Methodist Church who believe that women in ministry are stronger when they are committed to each others success. The Coalition exists to build trust and support among female clergy peers. Members of the Mary and Elizabeth Coalition covenant to build one another up, speak positively of each other and protect one an-other’s leadership.

The video below features the six members of the steering committee who provide leadership and guidance to the Coalition. In the video each of them share their perspectives on the importance of the Mary and Elizabeth Coalition and the value of building trust and support among female clergy.
