Palm Sunday - A NEW CTC Video Narrative

April 07, 2020

A phrase often associated with Palm Sunday is “the triumphal entry.” For many Central Texas Conference churches, this past Palm Sunday was a triumph of overcoming the uncertain and finding unique and love-filled ways to commemorate Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1-11, Mark 11:1-11, Luke 19:28-44, John 12:12-19). Churches all over the conference found ways to celebrate via unconventional methods such as adding a video montage of children marching around living rooms with real or homemade palms to their online worship or delivering palms door to door for folks to wave proudly with shouts of “Hosanna!” ringing up and down their street. One of those churches was Saginaw UMC, who had to overcome more than just social distancing in their efforts, and rediscovered the joy of seeing church family members (from a very safe social distance of course).
