China Spring Cookie Ministry

The start of the school year is typically all about the “new,” - new possibilities, adventures, friends… However, for the folks at China Springs UMC, it signals the annual return of a decades old tradition centered in homemade cookies, community involvement and care and good old-fashioned Christian hospitality. And it is something that any church or ministry of any size at any time of year can borrow as a way to remind their community that the church is there and active more than a couple hours every Sunday. As Rev. Jannette Miller says in the video below, “…[the cookie delivery tradition] is a beautiful representation of how we are trying to be good [Christian] ancestors, but we’re trying to make good ancestors and disciples of Jesus Christ.”
