A shared story of "Joy" from Ferris Heights UMC

During Advent, the Central Texas Conference Umbrella team has asked churches to share stories of hope in action from their communities and congregations. We continue the “Our Shared Story” series with a narrative of "Joy" from Ferris Heights United Methodist Church. Rev. Jon Hann shares his childhood Christmas experiences growing up in South Korea and compares it with his experience as United Methodist clergy in the U.S. has transformed and added to his family traditions. Ferris UMC has learned that while learning in a community together is a source of great joy, it is not enough to know; we must also grow and help others experience that joy.
